Taylor Swift slaps Dana White: Is it true that Power Slap has more views on YouTube than the singer?

The controversial slapping league, Power Slap, is the most watched sports competition on the planet, with more followers than Real Madrid and more views than Taylor Swift videos. At least that’s what its owner, the equally controversial Dana White, claims, but Internet users were quick to fact-check it.

Taylor Swift slaps Dana White: Is it true that Power Slap has more views on YouTube than the singer?

In a recent talk on the Flagrant podcast, White assured that Power Slap”has more followers than every single professional sport. Every professional sports team. We have more followers than them. In 15 months.” One of the show’s co-hosts, Andrew Schulz, asked White if the competition had more followers than the Spanish soccer team Real Madrid. “I don’t know about the soccer teams, but I would say yes. Every f***ing sports team. We have more followers. So I would say yes,” the businessman replied.

He assured that on YouTube, “we got more subscribers than NHL (National Hockey League), MLS (Major League Soccer), NASCAR (racing), PGA (Professional Golfer’s Association), Barstool Sports.” Sports fans questioned Dana White’s claims, and the results were immediate and shocking. “Two California NBA teams clear Powerslap’s Instagram and TikTok follower count. Btw, Real Madrid’s TikTok has 45m+ followers. These are just blatant lies that took 30 seconds to fact-check. Bring in the community notes,” said an X, formerly Twitter, user.

While it is true that Power Slap triples the number of subscribers on YouTube of the Chiefs and the Lakers, it is not even close to those of Real Madrid. As for the leagues White mentioned, it is true Power Slap has a larger number of followers on YouTube, but not by much: Surely, some Swifties burst into laughter upon hearing White’s assertions about their idol. In summary, the controversial promoter said, “We have more viewers than any Taylor Swift video ever posted.”

According to White, Power Slap”has over a billion YouTube views. Eight of the top 12 largest YouTube shorts against other major sports are Power Slap. Four of the top five largest YouTube shorts on UFC’s channel. We’re No. 1, 2, 3, and 4 on UFC.” Swift’s most viewed video as of May 5 is “You Belong with Me,” with 1.6 billion views, according to Kworb.net. That means 600,000 more than the total views of all Power Slap videos, according to White’s own numbers.
