Prince William did not receive the Spencer Taira. The Spencer Tiara is particular to the Spencer family and there is no way that EARL SPENCER WOULD ALLOW IT OUT OF THE FAMILY.

The Spencer family are an old and respected Aristocratic family with long traditions and they will not allow Meghan near the Althorp property as she tries to pretend she is another Diana.

If you are going to make up ridiculous stories, at least make up something that sounds plausible. The Spencer Tiara has belonged to the Spencer family for a very long time. While Prince William’s mother was a Spencer, he is not, he’s just extended family, so he does not now, nor ever will, own the Spencer Tiara.

She probably thought that as Diana wore it to her wedding that somehow it became Diana’s and that as William had the engagement ring she would get the tiara but … the tiara was never Diana’s and so was never able to go to a son of Diana’s. Diana borrowed it some times.

The Spencer tiara belongs to the Earl Spencer, currently Diana’s brother, and he controls who gets to wear it at the moment. When he dies it will pass to his eldest son who will be the new Earl Spencer.
