The holiday movie follows a pop star and a football player as they navigate their newfound romance amid their fame

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship has inspired a new festive film!

Lifetime recently released the trailer for its holiday romance movie Christmas in the Spotlight that follows a pop star and a football player as they navigate their newfound romance amid their fame – similarly to Swift, 34, and Kelce, 35.

While the network has not confirmed that the upcoming film was inspired by the celebrity romance, there are several parallels to the famous couple in the official synopsis, as well as in the trailer.

The one-minute official trailer opens with blonde popstar Bowyn (played by Jessica Lord) performing on a stage in a sparkly costume. Meanwhile, professional football player Drew (Laith Wallschleger) is in the audience with his niece who encourages him to pursue the singer romantically.

The two connect and go on a date before deciding to make things more official.

“I know we’re trying to keep this a secret, but I don’t know if I can keep this up,” Drew tells Bowyn at one point.

However, the drama seems short-lived with Bowyn lamenting about wanting to be a “normal girl dating a normal guy” leading to the two agreeing to give their relationship a shot in the spotlight.

“Are we doing this?” Drew asks Bowyn in the trailer, who replies, “Let’s freaking go!”

A few eagle-eyed fans pointed out a hidden Swift reference in the trailer on social media: Drew’s football number is 13 — which is famously the real-life singer’s lucky number.

The official synopsis teases that the film “follows Bowyn, a popular musician and celebrity, who despite always singing about love and relationships, hasn’t found Mr. Right yet. Her fame and busy recording schedule make it nearly impossible to date, but when she meets Drew, a pro football player, backstage at her show with his niece, there’s an undeniable spark between the two of them.”

But their relationship does not come easy given their fame. As they grow closer together, they face challenges such as their “hectic schedules” and “people questioning if their feelings for each other are real or just for show.”

“The pair has until the end of the holiday season to decide if they want to stay together, or let it go down in flames,” it continues.

Christmas in the Spotlight premieres on Saturday, Nov. 23, at 8 p.m. on Lifetime.
