Taylor Swift Couldn’t hide her Anger as Travis Kelce Breaks Their Relationship Rule After he was Spotted at Jack Antonoff Birthday Party without her Approval
Travis Kelce helped Taylor Swift’s best friend and longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff ring in his 40th birthday earlier this year. In a photo recently shared by Antonoff’s wife, actress Margaret Qualley, on her private Instagram, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end can be seen sitting at a table next to her. He appeared to be in a cheerful mood as he grinned at Qualley, 29, who had her arms wrapped around the Bleachers musician’s animated sister, Rachel Antonoff.
Kelce, 34, wore black pants and a plaid shirt for the celebration. Swift, also 34, was not present in the photograph. “40❤️,” Qualley captioned the post. Antonoff turned 40 on March 31, when Swift happened to be on a break from the international leg of her Eras Tour. Although she was not photographed, she was likely able to make it to the big bash with her beau.
Many fans praised Kelce for attending Antonoff’s celebration, with one TikToker writing, “I love that he’s making an effort to get to know her friends. Especially jack who is one of her best friends!” “That’s quite a public statement Margaret is making with these photo choices,” an X user gushed. A third fan shared the same sentiment, tweeting, “Definitely feels like a very significant endorsement and milestone for sure 😏.” Kelce and Swift, who have been seeing each other since last July, were spotted supporting Antonoff at Coachella in April while his band performed at the famous Indio, Calif. music festival.
After their performance, Bleachers drummer Sean Hutchinson shared a photo of the group spending time together backstage at Coachella. Fans were excited to see the NFL star with his arm lovingly wrapped around the “Anti-Hero” singer in the sweet snapshot. They were also seen packing on major PDA as they watched performances from the artist’s section of the crowd. Swift and Antonoff have been pals since 2012 and have collaborated on several of her albums, including “Reputation,” “Lover,” “Folklore,” “Evermore” and “Midnights.” They have also worked on Swift’s re-recordings.
“He is so talented, it is incomprehensible, and I’m so lucky I’ve been making music with him since we made an album called ‘1989,’” the 14-time Grammy winner raved during her 2023 MTV Video Music Awards song of the year acceptance speech. “And we’ll continue working together until 2089.” Swift has similarly praised Kelce, even changing the lyrics of “Karma” to “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me,” where “Chiefs” replaced “screen,” which was a nod to her actor ex, Joe Alwyn.
