Relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce brought forward an intriguing new business venture for Taylor Swift…See More 👇
Taylor Swift has made it possible for fathers to bond with their young daughters on Sunday’s over football. And that is because people everywhere have started to tune in to Kansas City Chiefs games, hoping to catch a glimpse of the singer.
And as her relationship with Travis Kelce has progressed, they’ve even learned the rules of football.
The NFL is already taking full advantage of this, referencing Swift whenever they possibly can. And other places are trying to get involved as well.
But Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin might have the best idea so far.
“We should have Taylor Swift cards,” Rubin told PEOPLE exclusively on Sept. 25. “We actually asked her a year ago.”
Imagine cards of the signer during all her different eras and shows! Oh and of course they would have to throw in some of her numerous different outfits at all the Chiefs games.
Everything Swift touches turns to gold. And that includes Travis Kelce.
“Travis Kelce was one of the top 5 selling NFL players and saw a nearly 400% spike in sales throughout the Fanatics network of sites, including NFLShop.com,” a Fanatics spokesperson told PEOPLE the day after Swift attended her first game at Arrowhead stadium.
Swifties everywhere would rush out and buy these the minute they are released.
“I mean a Taylor and Trav card together would be amazing,” Rubin said.
He’s not wrong.
Swifties everywhere went crazy after the singer changed the lyric in one of popular songs as a tribute to Kansas City Chiefs tight end.
Swift altered the lyrics while performing her song “Karma,” singing “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me,” rather than “Karma is the guy on the screen coming straight home to me.”
It first happened during Taylor Swift’s show in Buenos Aires, where Travis was present during the Chiefs bye week in the 2023 season. And she kept it up all throughout the other stops on her Eras Tour.
However, she no longer has to change it. Because both apply now.
Yes, Travis is on the Chiefs. But after Wednesday night, he is also on the screen now.
The tight end landed his first role, making his debut in Ryan Murphy’s murder mystery series ‘Grotesquerie’. The show premiered on FX on Wednesday night.
So now Kelce is officially on the screen, and not just on Sunday’s with the Chiefs.
Fans were having a field day pointing out this interesting lyric development.
