A six-photo collage revealed that Brittany had left blonde behind, swapping out her well-known hair color for a shocking rusty red — and many were wondering exactly how husband Patrick felt about the unexpected change. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback has finally broken his silence — but not in the way that some might have expected. Patrick reposted his wife’s latest photoshoot on Instagram Stories, yet fans now are wondering whether his reaction is emblematic of his true feelings.

On his Instagram story, Patrick reposted Brittany’s new look, only adding one heart emoji in the bottom right corner, as can be seen above.
This mild reaction to a major image change could lead some to wonder whether there is “trouble in paradise” with Brittany and Patrick. The two were high school sweethearts before marrying in 2022, and they now have two children together: Bronze and Sterling Mahomes. Brittany is also a constant presence at Chiefs games, accompanying Patrick throughout the Chiefs’ most recent Super Bowl run.
However, Patrick could just as easily be getting into gear for offseason workouts this summer. Kansas City is trying to engineer an historic “three-peat” the likes of which the NFL has never seen in the Super Bowl era. The lukewarm reaction to his wife’s new hair color, with no written message of support, could mean nothing at all as the star quarterback gets locked in for the new season this autumn.
