Incredible:I announced the historic Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight but now Iβm tempted to become a boxer..See More π

Ring announcer Big Mo experienced the bright lights of Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson but could now take up some training himself.
Paul and Tyson met in an historic boxing fight at the AT&T Stadium in Texas in November, which saw the YouTuber-turned-boxer outpoint.
A staggering 108 million viewers tuning in to Netflix to watch the fight, while close to 70,000 fans flocked into the arena, making it the most viewed boxing fight of the year.
At front and centre of the event was of course Paul and Tyson, although their spectacle failed to deliver on the pre-fight hype.
But one person who got the atmosphere going was ring announcer Big Mo, who called the fighters into the ring before and after their walk-ons.
Real name Kody Mommaerts, the emerging MC star has become a growingly notorious figure in the sport, having also worked with boxing promotion BOXXER as an announcer.
But after experiencing life in the ring in a non competitive situation, he is now eager himself to experience the thrills of working out as a boxer on the other side of the script.

He said on talkSPORT’s Hawksbee & Jacobs: “For me I blew out my shoulder when I played College football.
“Yeah I could do that [fight another ring announcer]. I’m not totally confident.
“I think my shoulder is held together my duck tape and hope so I don’t know if I’d do it.
“If I threw anything I’m not sure it would stay in place, but I’d like to get more into boxing training.
“I have this incredible fraternity that I have tapped into, so maybe it’s something I could do one day.”

The announcer is 6ft 6ins and carries a boxer style frame which could well lead to him being handy in the ring.
With the emergence of influencer fights and Misfits Boxing, there could be an opportunity that presents itself in the future.
For now he will continue in announcing and will next be in action on the mic when British prospect Adam Azim takes on Sergey Lipinets on February 1.
Paul vs Tyson was a rare event and shows how events are becoming commercially successfully without high level action.
