Exclusive:Shaquille O’Neal sells his mansion in a month and teaches Michael Jordan a ‘good lesson’…See More ๐
Shaquille O’Neal has managed to offload his Texas mansion in Carrollton just a month after putting it on the market in July. He purchased the home in 2022 from a local real estate agent, Zac Gideo. While the final sale price hasn’t been disclosed, the asking price was $1.7 million, as reported by realtor.com
Shaq’s property, spanning 5,200 square feet, includes five bedrooms, a deluxe office, five full bathrooms, two half bathrooms, a fireplace, and an elegant tiered ceiling.
The home’s open-concept design, featuring a spacious kitchen with high-end appliances like a 6-burner Wolf gas range and granite countertops, adds to its appeal. These features make it easy to see why the home commanded a seven-figure asking price and sold so quickly.
Jordan’s mansion yet to be sold
On the other hand, Michael Jordan’s $15 million mansion in Highland Park, Illinois, remains on the market, despite its lavish amenities, which include nine bedrooms, 15 full bathrooms, a pool pavilion, and even a full-size basketball court.
One possible explanation why Jordan’s property hasn’t been sold comes from real estate professionals like Katherine Malkin, who believes the mansion’s sheer size might be overwhelming for most potential buyers.
While it offers everything anyone could want, it may simply be too much for a typical family to manage. Malkin described the property as “a resort on its own,” but that might be more than what most buyers are looking for.
Jordan originally listed the mansion for a staggering $29 million, but over the years, the price has been reduced to $14,855,000. The current price is a subtle nod to his famous jersey number 23, but even this clever marketing strategy hasn’t been enough to close the deal.
