The actor’s eldest sons joined her too, to celebrate the premiere of her film Maria
Angelina Jolie was glowing as she arrived at the premiere of her film Maria with her family by her side.
The actor and director strolled into Alice Tully Hall in New York City on Sunday evening with her three oldest kids: sons Maddox, 23, and Pax, 20, and daughter Zahara, 19. (She is also mom to Shiloh, 18, and 16-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox, from her marriage to Brad Pitt.)
Jolie and Zahara coordinated in elegant white gowns. Jolie’s was a vintage Madame Grès. The airy V-neck dress had an asymmetric ruched bodice and a flowing skirt. Jolie styled it with merlot red platforms in a crisscross design with mesh panels, from Aquazzura. The actor wore a classic red mani-pedi and a bold red lip to contrast the white of her dress, and elevated her look with white diamond drop earrings and a diamond cluster ring, both from Cartier. She had her hair in a side-parted, wavy ’do.
Zahara opted for a silky white halter slipdress with V neckline similar to her mother’s. The piece flowed down to her feet, and she accessorized only with pearls earrings, a pearl necklace, a gold bangle, and several small gold earrings.
The boys looked dapper in suits. Maddox wore a classic black suit and tie, white shirt, black dress shoes, and black-frame eyeglasses. And Pax—who is following in his parents’ footsteps in the film industry—looked like quite the movie star in a concrete gray suit with a subtle plaid pattern, white shirt, metallic gray tie, brown shoes, and black sunglasses. He wore a bandage on his hand, as he is still recovering from his recent e-bike accent.
The film premiere falls during the 62nd New York Film Festival, which runs from September 27 to October 14. Directed by Pablo Larraín, Maria is a biographical drama about the late opera singer Maria Callas, played by Jolie. The actor’s actual singing voice appears in parts of the movie, while in other scenes, recordings of Callas’s voice are used.
