Diddy’s Son Justin Combs Working to Resolve $190,000 Legal Battle as Dad Remains Locked Up..See More 👇
Diddy’s oldest son, Justin Combs, is working to handle a lawsuit over missed payments on a Bentley while his father remains locked up in a New York prison, In Touch can exclusively report.
A lawyer representing Porsche Leasing LTD tells In Touch the lawsuit brought against Justin, 30, is “is in the process of being resolved.”
Earlier this week, the company had asked the court to grant a default judgment against Justin in the amount of $190,226.25.
Porsche Leasing claimed Justin owes $172,000 in missed payments on a 2022 Bentley Bentayga V8. The company asked for an additional $13,000 in interest fees.
In court documents, the company said Justin was personally served on June 11 at Diddy’s $61 million Beverly Hills mansion. Porsche Leasing filed suit against Justin in June.
Now, the parties appear to be close to wrapping up the case.
As In Touch first reported, in the lawsuit, Porsche Leasing LTD claimed Justin and his JDC Holdings Group entered into a lease for a new Bentley Bentayga V8 in January 2022. Justin agreed to make 42 payments in the amount of $3,365.23.
The lawsuit claimed Justin defaulted on the deal when he failed to make the payment due on December 20, 2023.
Per the lease, Porsche Leasing was allowed to demand the entire amount owed if a default occurred.
“Therefore, there is now due, owing and unpaid from the Defendant the approximate sum of $172,601.43, plus additional charges pursuant to the terms of the Agreement. Interest accrues from December 20, 2023, at the legal rate of 10% per annum, until paid in full,” the lawsuit said.
Porsche Leasing said it had the right to take possession of the car.
Sources told In Touch that the payments were missed because the bill was sent to an older address for Justin. The insider claimed Justin and his team were taking immediate action to pay the bill after being informed of the lawsuit.
One source claimed the lawsuit would be dismissed within days.
At the time, Justin’s attorney, Jeffrey Lichtman, told In Touch, “Due to an address change, Justin did not receive his bill which resulted in unintentionally missed payments. We are in touch with the creditor and the matter is being settled. The outstanding balance will be paid and the lawsuit will be dropped.”
Despite the claims the matter would be resolved shortly, Porsche Leasing is moving full steam ahead in court.
As In Touch previously reported, Diddy remains behind bars in New York after his attempts to be released on bond were denied. The mogul has been locked up since his arrest on September 16 on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.
Diddy pleaded not guilty to all charges. Prosecutors asked that he be kept in prison until trial due to him being a “serious” flight risk. Diddy’s proposed bond packages, that include putting his $50 million in real estate up as collateral, have been shut down by multiple judges.
Back in June 2023, Justin was arrested for DUI in Los Angeles. Months later, he pleaded no contest to one count and avoided any jail time.
He was ordered to complete an alcohol education program and pay fines. Misa Hylton, Diddy’s ex and Justin’s mother, slammed the mogul after the arrest.
Following the arrest, Misa said, “I’m not protecting no one anyone. Just my son. I’m not with none of that reality TV s–t.”
“When is enough ENOUGH?” she asked. “How can you go from one of the greatest to ever do it to making all your money off alcohol and suing the damn alcohol company,” she said in an apparent reference to Diddy and his legal battle with a liquor company.
