Landon Barker denied his involvement in what appeared to be a Sean “Diddy” Combs-themed party featuring lit up bottles of baby oil: “Ended up in a bad situation.”
Landon Barker is setting the record straight after he attended a party featuring light-up baby oil bottles.
The son of Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler addressed online backlash over his recent appearance at a birthday bash that online critics said poked fun at Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sex trafficking case.
In footage circulating on social media, Landon—who turned 21 on Oct. 9—was seen laughing with friends as workers at a West Hollywood club brought out bottles of baby oil, what critics believe was a reference to supplies seized by federal officers during a raid of Diddy’s homes.
The singer was also pictured in a photobooth image that said the birthday celebration was “hosted by Landon Barker and friends.”
However, Landon denied he was involved in the baby oil gag, sharing in an Oct. 15 TikTok video, “I’d like to come on here and apologize and address the fact that people are saying I had this whole themed birthday party.”
“First off, I’ve not had a birthday party,” he continued. “My birthday party is next week.”
The Meet the Barkers alum went on to explain that he had been invited to the party by a club promoter. Landon said he and a friend were having dinner at Nobu when they decided they should have a club night, so the friend reached out to the promoter.
“The club promoter then said, ‘Hey, this guy is having a birthday party tonight. Do you guys want to come to this party?'” Landon recounted. “He said he’d give us a table and a bottle.”
Upon his arrival to the club, Landon said he “didn’t know what was going on” because he did not see the baby oil bottles right away.
“All I could really see was another table having flashing bottles being brought out,” he recalled. “The bottles had flashing lights underneath them, so I wasn’t able to distinguish what they were. I’m just thinking they were bringing out tequila.”
Landon said he only realized what they were when the club workers brought the bottles to his table.
“I did not pick up the bottle once and I did not condone it,” he stated. “I just went to a club to celebrate my birthday and ended up in a bad situation.”
Additionally, Landon refuted speculation that he “curated everybody to wear all white”—a dress code Combs was known to implement at his parties—during their night out.
“Formal attire is a white top and black pants for most people,” the musician, who was pictured wearing a white top at the event, said in a follow-up TikTok video. “It was a fancy dinner and people just took their jackets off.”
E! News has reached out to Landon’s rep for additional comment but hasn’t heard back.
