Breaking News -Prince William is making a grave mistake by pushing Harry away, says Princess Diana confidant..See More 👇
As Prince William prepares for his future role in the monarchy, he’s unveiling plans that have raised some eyebrows – and one royal expert argues he may need his estranged brother Harry by his side more than ever.
During his recent trip to South Africa for the Earthshot Prize, William discussed his vision to “do things differently” with “a smaller ‘r’ in royal.” But this approach has sparked criticism from Tina Brown, a noted royal biographer, who believes Harry was essential in keeping William grounded.
According to Brown, a former Vanity Fair editor with close ties to Princess Diana, William’s comments seemed dismissive of King Charles’s decades of work.
He talked about ‘impact philanthropy, collaboration, and helping people’ – essentially everything his father has dedicated 50 years to,” Brown wrote in her Fresh Hell blog. She went on to call William’s remarks about wanting “to throw some empathy in there” as “performative.”

William’s bad company
Brown is convinced that Harry, once known for playfully calling his brother “Harold” and pulling him down a peg, helped balance William’s more reserved personality.
With their relationship fractured and no communication between the brothers, William is now, according to Brown, “surrounded by sycophants” – and it shows. “In happier times, Harry was the irreverent voice who could tease William and keep him grounded,” she added.
Thank you for watching
Brown’s take on the Sussexes has been equally scathing. Last month, she described Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s departure from royal life as a “disaster,” criticizing Meghan’s “flawless judgment for getting it all wrong.”
