Congratulations are in order for the Jordanian royal family as Princess Rajwa Al Hussein and Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II have announced the birth of their daughter. Princess Iman bint Al Hussein bin Abdullah II was born in the early hours on 3 August, as declared by the Royal Hashemite Court, and is the first grandchild of Queen Rania and King Abdullah II.
The family have released some touching behind-the-scenes insights as they gathered to celebrate the arrival of the new royal baby. An official video shows the Jordanian royals gathering outside the Al Hussein Medical City, before documenting the moment that the King and Queen met Princess Iman, who was carried in by her father, Crown Prince Hussein. His siblings, Prince Hashem, Princess Salma, and Princess Iman – for whom the newest addition to the royal family may be named – were all present in the hospital to welcome their niece into the world.
