Travis Kelce appeared to reveal his voting intentions for the upcoming U.S. election after claims that he “reached out” to the Kamala Harris campaign team to offer his support.

The Kansas City Chiefs superstar’s girlfriend Taylor Swift moved to put her backing behind the current Vice President as she seeks to beat Donald Trump to succeed Joe Biden in the White House.

The pop chart-topper took to her social media as she asserted that she will be backing Democratic Party nominee Harris when the country goes to the polls.

Among her motivations for doing so was an alleged AI video which erroneously depicted Swift endorsing Trump instead – with the “Cruel Summer” hitmaker as she rallied against misinformation. However, her boyfriend Kelce has remained more reserved when it comes to his political stance.

Still, some insight into the Chiefs fan favorite’s potential leanings ahead of the election came via CBS’s Gayle King, who purported that Kelce, had got in touch with the Harris camp over attending a recent speech.

With the event taking place while KC took on the Chicago Bears in a preseason home game, he was ultimately unable to go.

Making the claim, King said: “The Taylor Swift rumor is interesting to me because I was told a couple of days ago that Travis Kelce also had reached out to the Harris campaign when it was first announced and said he wanted to be here on the night that she was speaking…we’ll see if that’s true.”

After being informed that Kelce’s Chiefs were due to play that night, she then remarked: “I know he has a game but that doesn’t mean that he’s playing,” before her co-anchor then made a coy comment, saying: “You look like you know something.”
