Barron Trump has been in the news a lot lately, and not much of it has been good. There have been reports about his parents setting firm boundaries about his online dating after he was involved in a situation where he was forced to call emergency services after a woman he was speaking with was assaulted by her ex. Then there have been privacy concerns that have reportedly left his mother, first lady Melania Trump, issuing ultimatums at Mar-a-Lago.

In the meantime, Barron has been living at the White House while attending his second year of college. But what else has he been up to? Well, it looks like he has now invested in the lifestyle beverage industry. According to Newsweek, Barron is now listed as a director for a company called Sollos Yerba Mate Inc., according to business registration documents filed in Florida and Delaware. Yerba Mate is a traditional herbal tea originating in South America.

Four others are also listed. The business address is listed as Palm Beach, Florida, where Mar-a-Lago is also located. The LinkedIn page for Sollos Yerba Mate describes it as “a lifestyle beverage brand built around yerba mate and clean, functional ingredients.”

This is, presumably, not the younger Trump’s only foray into business. Barron Trump is also listed as a co-founder of World Liberty Financial, the Trump family’s cryptocurrency business.

All of this comes after President Trump’s youngest son was recently given firmer boundaries when it comes to online communication. This is dude to the fact that he had been reportedly communicating with women online, and reportedly formed a close relationship with a woman living in London after meeting her on social media. It all turned public when he contacted emergency services after witnessing a violent assault during a FaceTime call.

“This scared everyone,” one insider told Rob Shuter. “It stopped being theoretical and became terrifyingly real.” Which is when his family got involved. “That phone call changed the entire tone,” a source said. “Once emergency services were involved, nobody could pretend this was harmless teenage flirting anymore.”

“It confirmed everyone’s worst fears,” another insider explained to the gossip columnist. “Barron wasn’t just chatting — he was emotionally invested.”

Which is when first lady Melania Trump stepped in and took control. “Melania shut it down completely,” a source said. “No debate. No negotiations. The answer was simply: this stops now.” And the gossip columnist says she took control. “No exceptions. No loopholes,” another source said. “Melania was crystal clear.”

Barron has reportedly been finding connections online, because he finds it hard to connect to people in person. “Behind a screen, he feels safe,” one insider said. “He feels seen.”

Now, however, after what happened, firm boundaries are reportedly being set. “The illusion of safety online is what terrified them,” a source said. “You think you’re in control — until you’re not.”
