George Clooney and Brad Pitt‘s decades-long friendship is no Hollywood secret but we don’t often get a glimpse of Pitt’s rapport with his close friend’s wife, Amal.

Pitt, 60, and Clooney, 63, were just profiled together in a GQ cover story ahead of the release of their upcoming action film Wolfs and when Amal, 46, stepped on set of the interview and photoshoot, she proved that George isn’t the only Clooney who has a close relationship with the Bullet Train star.

Amal, also joined in a rare appearance by the couple’s twins Ella and Alexander, briefly interrupted the interview. According to the article, Amal arrived and greeted Pitt with a hug before complimenting his lavish Château Miraval estate. Pitt’s French winery, which is the root of a years-long legal battle with ex-wife Angelina Jolie, was the site of the interview.

Amal joins the actors for lunch where Pitt fills her in on her husband’s fashion choices for their photoshoot. “Your man was venturing out,” Pitt told her.

“What did you do? Are you wearing a radical color?” Amal asks Clooney. “I’m too old to care,” Clooney responds.

“That’s another thing about getting older,” Pitt says. “It’s too much work to control things. It’s better to just slot in some way to the current.”

Clooney married human rights lawyer Amal in 2014 but the private couple stay largely out of the public eye. Pitt has been dating Swiss jewelry designer Ines de Ramon since 2022.

In April, sources speculated that Amal wasn’t in full support of Pitt’s romance with de Ramon, who was previously married to actor Paul Wesley. “She thinks Ines doesn’t really work that hard in the jewelry business and tries to be someone that she’s not,” claimed an insider.

“Amal just hopes Brad’s careful and doesn’t move too fast,” the source claimed. “She’s tried for Brad’s sake to be friendly but all she’s getting is the brush-off.”
