Justin and Hailey Bieber ‘Wished and Prayed’ for Their Baby Son: ‘Such a Miracle’ (Exclusive)
Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin Bieber’s baby son Jack Blues is everything they ever wanted.
The couple announced the birth of their first child on Aug. 23, 2024, and a source exclusively tells PEOPLE that Justin, 30, is “already a great dad.”
“The pregnancy was something that they very much wished and prayed for. The day they found out that Hailey was pregnant, was the best ever for Justin,” the source says.
“He was over the moon with excitement. It was a big celebration for them,” the insider adds.
The source says the pair are “both overjoyed” after welcoming the little one, telling PEOPLE, “The baby is such a miracle. He’s adorable and doing well. Hailey’s doing well too.”
Justin revealed in a sweet Instagram post that Hailey, 27, had given birth to baby Jack.
“WELCOME HOME JACK BLUES BIEBER,” the “Baby” hitmaker wrote on Friday alongside a black and white photo of the newborn’s tiny foot.
Hailey re-shared the photo to her Instagram Stories soon after, captioning it with the baby’s name as well as a teddy bear and blue heart emoji.
The family tradition of naming their son with the initials ‘JB’ is one that has continued on Justin’s side of the family for a couple of generations now, as the singer has the same initials, along with his dad, Jeremy Bieber, and some of his siblings.
Justin’s mom, Pattie Mallette, was among the many people sharing their well-wishes on social media after learning of the baby’s arrival.
On Friday, Mallette wrote in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter): “CONGRATULATIONS @justinbieber & Hailey. I LOVE YOU FOREVER BABY JACK!!” adding multiple emotional and hands-in-the-air emojis.
Stephen Baldwin, Hailey’s dad, re-shared the cute message, writing: “Amen, Congratulations to you and may God continue to bless our family.”
Hailey and Justin announced they were expecting their first baby together on May 9 in a joint Instagram post, which included a video of their vow renewal. At the time, a rep for Hailey confirmed to PEOPLE that she was just over six months pregnant.
Since making the exciting announcement, the Biebers have been sharing multiple images in the lead-up to their first baby’s arrival.
A source previously told PEOPLE that the day the stars found out they had a baby on the way was “just the best for them.”
“Everyone is excited for them,” the insider said at the time.
“They will be great parents, and Justin will be super involved. This will be the next important project for him. He’s so excited to raise his baby,” the source added.
Justin and Hailey’s baby’s arrival comes nearly six years after they tied the knot in a New York City courthouse ceremony on Sept. 13, 2018, before holding a second ceremony in front of 154 guests in South Carolina on Sept. 30, 2019.
