CELEBRITY
Jason and Travis Kelce are tired of being beer drinkers: Now they’re going to brew it! The Kelce brothers announced in style their partnership with an independent manufacturer.
Jason and Travis Kelce have admitted on several occasions to being avid beer drinkers. Today, the two NFL stars announced the next evolutionary step in their hobby: they have become partners in a major independent brewery.
The Kelces’ beer antics are almost legendary. Perhaps the most memorable was Travis’ celebration during his college graduation ceremony in March when he gulped down a can of beer just after receiving his diploma at a massive ceremony at the Fifth Third Arena. Another moment to remember is when Jason, the recently retired center of the Philadelphia Eagles, and Travis, star tight end of the Kansas City Chiefs, were seen at a Cleveland Cavaliers game drinking a couple of beers, toasting, and mingling with the fans around them.
The brothers’ fame and fortune, along with their love for this drink, made it almost inevitable that they would become directly involved in the business, instead of being mere consumers. In a statement, the Garage Beer company announced that Travis and Jason Kelce have become the company’s most recent investors. Garage Beer is an emerging light lager producer with a presence in 13 states and ambitious expansion plans.
“I think everyone knows I like to have a couple of beers now and then,”Travis admitted in the statement. “So being an owner of Garage Beer and heavily involved in making the best light beer is exciting, man!” “There is nothing better to bring people together than an ice-cold beer, and for Jason and me, that is what beer is all about – friends, family, and fun… We look forward to taking Garage Beer to the next level,” assured the Chiefs’ tight end.
Jason, for his part, said, “People crave quality and simplicity, and Garage Beer nails both for me. We are light beer drinkers and Garage is the best light beer. For me, the brand fits my lifestyle, and having a few beers is a great excuse to get the neighbors together.” This is the first big business the famed brothers have been involved in outside of their popular podcast, “New Heights.” With their arrival in the business, Garage Beer secures an audience of 2.4 million YouTube followers.
Additionally, Jason and Travis are two of the most popular players in the NFL, with hundreds of thousands of followers on their social media. As if that were not enough, Travis Kelce’s popularity skyrocketed when he revealed his romance with pop star Taylor Swift. With all this, Garage Beer guarantees not only a large audience but also a new market niche to explore.
