Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany, gives fans inside look at Chiefs’ Super Bowl 2024 ring celebrations

Brittany Mahomes shared what you didn’t see inside the Chiefs’ Super Bowl 2024 ring ceremony on Thursday in Kansas City. Taking to her Instagram Stories, the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes posted a clip of him and his teammate, tight end Travis Kelce, racing to crack the code on their ring boxes to see the bejeweled piece inside.

The Chiefs players received a code to unlock their personalized ring box, and Mahomes, 28, appeared to beat Kelce, 34, to the punch, as seen in Brittany’s video. The dynamic duo, who are best friends off the field, have won three Super Bowls together, including February’s championship contest, a 25-22 win over the 49ers in Las Vegas. Mahomes, looking dapper in a black suit and tinted sunglasses, gazed at the ring with a huge smile before he put it on his finger for the first time.

Brittany also shared a photo of her holding Mahomes’ hand with all three of his Super Bowl rings. The Chiefs are the first back-to-back champions since the 2003-04 Patriots. Prior to February’s win, Kansas City defeated the Eagles, 38-35, in last year’s Super Bowl. Mahomes and Kelce won their first Super Bowl in February 2020 after topping the 49ers, 31-20.

Earlier in the evening, Mahomes and Brittany posed for photos on the red carpet, where the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model looked stunning in an off-the-shoulder red dress. “Xthree,” she wrote on Instagram, referring to Mahomes’ three Super Bowl rings. Mahomes finished 34-of-46 for 333 yards and two touchdowns in the Chiefs’ win over the 49ers in Super Bowl 2024. It came after Kansas City had a rocky regular season and entered the playoffs as the AFC’s No. 3 seed.

Mahomes and Brittany partied with Kelce and his girlfriend, pop megastar Taylor Swift, after the big game in Las Vegas, as seen in photos from the star-studded festivities. Swift was not at the Chiefs’ ring ceremony, as the 14-time Grammy winner is currently on tour. Brittany and Swift, 34, forged a friendship over the 2023 season as the singer’s romance with Kelce intensified. The Chiefs open the 2024-25 season against the Ravens in Kansas City on Sept. 5.
