The Stella McCartney collective! Taylor Swift and her A-list pals wear head-to-toe looks from the Brit designer for London dinner
A lot of planning went into Taylor Swift’s girls’ night out on Tuesday, with the singer and her new London girl squad coordinating their looks. There was no need to raid wardrobes for something to wear to the plush dinner at Notting Hill restaurant Casa Cruz, with Taylor and her A-list friends Cara Delevingne and Phoebe Waller Bridge all wearing pieces from Stella McCartney.
The British designer was one of the guests at the dinner, and made sure she kitted her pals out in her designer looks. Taylor chose a £1150 moulded corset paired with a pinstripe wool coat, which goes for £1,509. Her floral print trousers were also from Stella’s Spring 2024 collection. Writer, actress and producer Phoebe was chic in a £2,065 camel coat from Stella and accessorized with a £1450 bucket bag and Stella loafers.
Model Cara and designer Stella matched in £1,790 Teddy biker jackets from Stella’s line. Cara paired hers with a tank tip from Stella’s Autumn 2024 collection while Stella rocked a draped mini dress from her summer line under her jacket. Music legend Chrissie Hynde was also at the starry dinner, and carried a studded shoulder bag from the designer, which retails for £1095 teamed with loafers which sell for around £600.
Taylor has been seen in Stella’s vegan pieces since 2019, when the pair collaborated on a Stella x Taylor merchandise capsule in support of the singer’s 2019 Lover album. Taylor was also dressed in Stella on both the covers of her two 2020 surprise albums, evermore and folklore. She went on to create a series of one-off sustainable pieces for Taylor to wear whilst promoting the albums, which Taylor wore to the 2020 Academy of Country Music Awards, and on the cover of Rolling Stone.
Stella is so creative,’ Taylor told fans during a YouTube Q&A in 2020. ‘I told her I had a secret project and she designed clothes that were EXACTLY what I imagined. I drove to her office, picked them up and took them into the woods!!’ ‘Knowing someone well makes creating something for them easier. With Taylor, everything happened so naturally; the pieces I made reflected the effortless emotionality of her album,’ Stella wrote on Instagram at the time.
‘Complementing a friend’s creation is rare and precious and feels incredibly special.’ Cara and Stella have also been close collaborators for years, with the model regularly walking in her runway shows and starring in Stella’s summer 2024 campaign. Last week Taylor made a secret visit to watch Cara perform in her West End show Cabaret, wearing another Stella piece. In a montage of snaps on her social media, Cara shared a photo of herself and Taylor wrapping their arms around each other as they posed in her dressing room, with the singer showing her love for mutual pal Stella by wearing a £1,324 blue sweater from the designer.
