🚨JUST IN: 🇫🇷🇺🇸 France President Macron says: “Tariff threats are unacceptable and have no place in this context. Europeans will respond in a united and coordinated manner.” Raise your hand if you want Trump impeached immediately ✋
French President Emmanuel Macron has issued a strong warning to former U.S. President Donald Trump over renewed tariff threats against Europe, calling them “unacceptable” and insisting they have “no place in this context.”
Speaking amid growing global trade tensions, Macron made it clear that Europe will not be intimidated by economic pressure from Washington. According to him, any attempt to weaponise tariffs against European nations will be met with a “united and coordinated” response from the European Union.
Macron’s statement reflects deep concerns within Europe that Trump’s return to aggressive trade policies could destabilise already fragile global markets. During his previous term, Trump imposed heavy tariffs on European steel, aluminium, and other goods, sparking trade disputes that hurt businesses on both sides of the Atlantic.
European leaders fear a repeat of that scenario, especially at a time when inflation, geopolitical conflicts, and supply chain disruptions are already straining economies.
Analysts say Macron’s message is not just about trade—it’s about power. Europe wants to show it will no longer accept being treated as a subordinate partner in global economic decisions.
As tensions rise, one thing is clear: a new Trump-era trade war could put U.S.–EU relations on a dangerous collision course once again.
